This peek is a long time coming, and I am SO excited about it, as the bride is one of my oldest and dearest nearly-cousins. Heather and Mike planned an intimate ceremony and reception at the Henderson House, just outside of Boston, and we were so fortunate to have one of the most beautiful late fall afternoons...I'm all warm and cozy just thinking about it!
It's no secret that I am a wedding kind of person. And it's abundantly clear that Heather is too. Not one detail was overlooked, and Heather was responsible for hand crafting almost everything! From the flower girl's barrettes, to their moss and butterfly baskets, to her own flowers adorning her hair. She has amazing taste (hello, red dress, and helllllllloooooooo red shoes) and it was evident everywhere you looked. And as you will see, Heather smiles with her whole entire self. She was positively beaming this day, as you will plainly see!
Heather, it was such an incredible honor to have been a part of your day. It feels like only yesterday we were having a morrison-smith sleepover, sure that we had won the lottery! As a photographer, I always get that "YESSSS!" feeling when I come across an image I am personally proud of, and there are so many here, I feel like I won the jackpot. I hope you and Mike feel the same!
And to the Smiths...you know I love you guys!! Thanks for keeping me in the family!
Enjoy the peeks, your gallery will be ready in the next few days!
What....you don't see a bucket of malted milk balls and think, "RING SHOT"??
Are you kidding me here? Heather....you are so beautiful!
loooooove this next one, the little ray of light hits her flowers..isn't that awesome?? Photography gold, I'm telling you.
Heather and Mike had the brilliant idea to tell their baker, "how about 4 cakes, whatever flavors and decor that you want--just make one chocolate with these butterflies." Genius. It's hard to see in this photo, but the cake furthest from the camera looks like it has a folded tea towel on it with a teacup filled with raspberries....amazing.
Sarah - you have done it again - amazing!!!! Great shots. You did a fantastic job of capturing the happiness and ease of the day. Heather sure was a beautiful bride!
I love what you wrote. It does seem like not so long ago that we were having the sleepovers. Such a nice thing that Mary Ellen and Jane did for us - not only for the weekend, but for the relationships that it helped us all to form. I sure am happy to have you as my nearly-cousin. Thanks for sharing yoru amazing work!
