I have been SLACKING on posting wedding sneak peeks...for a couple of reasons. We're in the throes of the crazy holiday season, so time is a little limited, and I'm going to be launching a new blog after New Years, and thought I might just save them until then. but I. CAN'T. WAIT. ANOTHER. DAY.
We had a LOT of rain this summer...and we had a couple of weekends in a row when outdoor weddings were moved inside, and it wasn't just overcast, but RAINY. So in the week approaching Bailey and Gus' wedding, I could hardly believe the "sunny and beautiful" forecast. But that is precisely what we had. (a little windy, but when I saw what that meant for her billowy dress, I was aaaaalllllllll good.)
One of my favorite treats of this summer was that Bailey was a bridesmaid in Kevin and Amanda's wedding, and Amanda was in this wedding! Being able to shoot a wedding with a couple I've had the privilege of photographing before is one of those perks that nobody tells you about...I just love it.
Bailey and Gus are gentle souls, and they are so deeply in love that it is evident from the first moment you see them together. Their beach ceremony was tender and touching, and more than once I had to wipe a tear away! Bailey also happens to be extraordinarily photogenic, a major bonus for me!
When I look through these photos, I am taken back to that day, warm and sunny, the smell of the ocean comes right back, and it makes me even happier for the two of you. Congratulations again, and enjoy your sneak peek!
bride...bridesmaid...bridesmaid...bride...
Hippie-Chic is what we dubbed her hairstyle. And she can SERIOUSLY pull it off.
A couple of essential pre-wedding tasks...
Seeing Bailey for the first time...
ok--a little back story--I TOTALLY made the flowergirl cry. I called all the bridesmaids for a photo, and when she came too, I told her I didn't need her yet, which was the ABSOLUTE WRONG THING TO SAY. Thank heavens the bride was there to save the day....
beautiful maids in hues of sea glass...
Thank you, wind...love the billowy dress...
The newly-famous Sweet Jane custom guestbook...this particular one was one of our best...how gorgeous is Bailey??
These next two images have to be some of my most favorite images ever. The second one will look AWESOME as a huge print. Better as a canvas...just sayin'...
(see....even though I am a little bossy during the formal photos...I can let loose)
Where were you when I got married?!? BEAUTIFUL WORK, as always.
